Traditional Inlay Techniques

Traditional Rankaku and Raden techniques, using delicate quail eggshell and abalone shell inlays, are combined with layers of urushi lacquer to create remarkable depth and texture.

A Serene Koi Sanctuary

Koi Oasis transports you to a peaceful and magical sanctuary where koi swim gracefully through crystal-clear, rippling water, their scales rendered in exquisite detail. Lotus flowers in shades of white, green, blue, and gold surround the scene, creating a serene natural oasis brought to life through the intricate Shishiai Togidashi Maki-e technique.

Handcrafted in Wajima, Japan

Each fountain pen is handcrafted at TACCIA's urushi studio in Wajima, Japan, using traditional inlay techniques enhanced with precious metals and lacquer. The individually polished ebonite body is lightweight yet durable, while the cushion screw cap provides an airtight seal to help prevent the nib from drying out.

Each piece is individually signed by the Maki-e artisan who created it, making every pen a distinctive expression of Japanese craftsmanship and artistry.
