Where will my order be shipped from?
Depending on product availability and inventory location, your order may be shipped from Japan or China.
Orders shipped from Japan are primarily sent via EMS (Express Mail Service), while orders shipped from China are primarily sent via SF Express.
The shipping origin and method are determined based on inventory location, destination, and current logistics conditions.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes.
We ship to many countries and regions worldwide.
Shipping availability may vary depending on local logistics conditions, customs regulations, and product type. If your order is affected by a shipping restriction, we will contact you.
Will I receive a tracking number?
Yes.
Tracking information will be provided once your order has been shipped.
Orders shipped from Japan can generally be tracked through EMS, while orders shipped from China can generally be tracked through SF Express.
Please allow some time for tracking information to become active after the package has been accepted by the carrier.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery times vary depending on the shipping origin, destination, shipping method, customs processing, and local delivery conditions.
International shipments may occasionally experience delays due to customs inspections, weather, holidays, flight schedules, or other circumstances beyond our control.
Estimated delivery times are provided for reference only and cannot be guaranteed.
Will I need to pay customs duties or taxes?
Possibly.
International orders may be subject to import duties, VAT, customs clearance fees, or other charges imposed by the destination country or region.
Unless otherwise stated, these charges are not included in the product price or shipping fee and are generally the responsibility of the recipient.
As orders may be shipped from either Japan or China, applicable charges may vary depending on the shipping origin, destination, product value, and local customs regulations.
Are your products brand new?
Unless otherwise clearly stated on the product page, our products are sold as new.
If an item is pre-owned, a prototype, a display item, or otherwise in a special condition, this will be clearly stated on the relevant product page.
What does Sold Out mean?
Many of our fountain pens are limited editions or produced in small quantities.
Once an item is sold out, restocking may not be possible.
Occasionally, a small quantity may become available again due to order cancellations, additional production, or new inventory allocation.
Do you accept pre-orders?
Selected upcoming releases may be available for pre-order.
Estimated release and shipping dates are provided for reference only and may change due to manufacturer production schedules, transportation arrangements, or other circumstances.
Please refer to the individual product page for specific pre-order information.
Can you reserve an item for me?
Short-term reservations may be available for selected items.
Availability and reservation periods are determined individually. Please contact us if you would like to request a reservation.
Can I choose the nib size?
When multiple nib sizes are available, you can select your preferred nib size on the product page.
Available nib sizes vary by model, and some popular sizes may sell out earlier than others.
Are Japanese fountain pen nibs different from Western nibs?
In general, Japanese nibs may write finer than similarly labeled Western nibs.
However, actual line width and writing characteristics vary depending on the manufacturer, model, nib design, ink, and paper.
Do you inspect fountain pens before shipping?
Yes.
We carefully inspect our products before shipment and check the general condition of the item and its included accessories.
For valuable and collectible writing instruments, additional care is taken during packing to reduce the risk of damage in transit.
Can I return a fountain pen after it has been inked?
Generally, no.
Once a fountain pen has been inked, dip-tested with ink, or used, it is normally no longer eligible for return unless there is a confirmed manufacturing defect.
Please refer to our Returns & Exchanges policy for full details.
Are slight variations in handcrafted pens normal?
Yes.
Products made using traditional techniques and materials such as maki-e, urushi, raden, wood, ebonite, and other handcrafted or natural materials may show slight variations in color, pattern, texture, transparency, or finish.
These variations are part of the individual character and beauty of handcrafted products and are not generally considered defects.
Will the actual product look exactly the same as the photographs?
We make every effort to represent our products as accurately as possible.
However, actual colors, transparency, patterns, and surface appearance may vary slightly due to lighting, photography, display settings, and the natural characteristics of the materials.
For handcrafted products, individual variations may also occur.
