IZUMIPEN is operated by a Hong Kong company and has long specialized in Japanese writing instruments.
We offer carefully selected Japanese fountain pens, limited editions, original collaborations, maki-e writing instruments, collectible pens, and related products to customers worldwide.
Depending on product availability and inventory location, orders may be shipped from Japan or China.
2. Use of Our Website

Products made using maki-e, urushi, raden, wood, ebonite, and other handcrafted or natural materials may show individual variations in color, pattern, texture, transparency, and finish.
Reasonable variations resulting from handcrafted techniques or natural materials are part of the individual character of these products and are not generally considered defects.
4. Limited Editions & Availability
Many products offered by IZUMIPEN are limited editions, small-production releases, special collaborations, or collectible items.
All products are subject to availability.
Adding an item to your shopping cart does not reserve the item. A purchase is considered confirmed only after the order and payment have been successfully completed and accepted.
In the event of an inventory discrepancy, system error, incorrect product status, or other circumstance that prevents us from fulfilling an order, we reserve the right to cancel the affected order and issue an appropriate refund.
5. Pricing
Product prices are those displayed on the website at the time an order is placed.
Prices may be adjusted without prior notice due to changes in supply costs, exchange rates, market conditions, or other factors.
Price changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed.
Unless otherwise stated, product prices do not include import duties, VAT, customs clearance fees, or other charges that may be imposed by the destination country or region.
6. Orders & Payment

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order in circumstances including, but not limited to:

- Legal, shipping, or logistical restrictions that prevent us from fulfilling the order
If we cancel an order for which payment has already been successfully received, the applicable amount will be refunded.
7. Pre-Orders & Special Orders
Selected upcoming products may be offered for pre-order.
Any estimated release, production, or shipping date shown on a product page is provided for reference only and is not a guaranteed date.
Pre-order items may be delayed due to manufacturer production schedules, handcrafted production processes, transportation arrangements, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Customized, made-to-order, special-order, or specially sourced products may not be eligible for cancellation or modification once the order has been confirmed or production or sourcing has begun.

8. Shipping & Delivery
Depending on product availability and inventory location, orders may be shipped from Japan or China.
Orders shipped from Japan are primarily sent via EMS (Express Mail Service), while orders shipped from China are primarily sent via SF Express.
The shipping method may be adjusted depending on the destination, product type, and current logistics conditions.
Delivery times are estimates only. We cannot guarantee a specific delivery date where delays are caused by customs inspections, weather, holidays, flight schedules, local delivery services, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

9. Customs Duties & Import Charges
International orders may be subject to import duties, VAT, customs clearance fees, or other charges imposed by the destination country or region.
Unless otherwise stated, these charges are the responsibility of the recipient.
IZUMIPEN is unable to determine or guarantee the amount of any duties, taxes, or other import charges that may apply.
Customers are responsible for understanding the applicable import regulations and charges in their destination country or region before placing an order.
10. Returns, Exchanges & Refunds
Eligible products may be returned or exchanged in accordance with our Returns & Exchanges policy.
Due to the nature of fountain pens and collectible writing instruments, fountain pens that have been inked, dip-tested with ink, or used are generally not eligible for return unless there is a confirmed manufacturing defect.
Limited-edition, customized, made-to-order, special-order, and certain other products may not be eligible for return or exchange.

11. Shipping Loss or Damage
Issues involving loss, damage, or other problems occurring during transportation will be handled according to the circumstances of the order, the carrier's procedures, and any applicable shipping insurance.
