Released in 2017, this extraordinary limited edition fountain pen was created through a special collaboration between Sailor and Tayama Bungu, a historic stationery store in Hiroshima, Japan.

Based on the classic Sailor Profit 21 (1911) design, this remarkable writing instrument incorporates genuine natural deer antler from Miyajima Island, combining traditional Japanese craftsmanship with one of the region's most distinctive natural materials.

Miyajima, home to the famous Itsukushima Shrine and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is also known for its population of freely roaming deer.

To help protect local residents and visitors, some deer antlers are carefully trimmed when necessary. Tayama Bungu found a meaningful way to repurpose these natural materials, transforming them into exceptional fountain pens that celebrate Miyajima's unique cultural and natural heritage.

Only 40 pieces were produced worldwide, divided into two beautiful color variations.

  • Ivory White: Limited to 20 pieces
  • Maroon Red: Limited to 20 pieces

The Ivory White edition offers a refined and elegant appearance, while the Maroon Red version presents a deeper, richer, and more classical character.

Both versions feature genuine deer antler elements, each displaying its own distinctive natural patterns, textures, and color variations. As no two pieces of antler are identical, every fountain pen possesses a truly individual appearance.

Equipped with Sailor's signature 21K gold nib, the pen offers the exceptional writing performance associated with the brand. It uses a cartridge and converter filling system, while its distinctive antler construction gives it a slightly longer profile than the standard 1911 model.

In traditional Japanese culture, deer are often associated with good fortune, vitality, and spiritual significance, making the use of natural deer antler particularly meaningful.

More than simply a writing instrument, this collaboration represents a beautiful connection between Japanese fountain pen craftsmanship, regional heritage, and the thoughtful reuse of natural materials.

With only 20 examples produced in each color, this exceptionally rare collaboration remains one of Sailor's most distinctive regional limited editions, offering collectors a remarkable combination of rarity, craftsmanship, and natural beauty.
