Nakaya Cigar Portable Aka-tamenuri features Nakaya’s classic clipless Portable body, finished in the traditional Aka-tamenuri urushi technique. The surface shows a deep reddish-brown tone with subtle transparency, allowing warmer red layers beneath to gradually appear through the lacquer.
One of the distinctive characteristics of Aka-tamenuri is how the color develops over time. With continued use, the finish can become more translucent and reveal greater depth, giving each pen its own individual character.
The clipless Cigar design keeps the silhouette simple and elegant, allowing the urushi finish itself to remain the main focus. Fitted with a Nakaya 14K gold nib, it combines traditional Japanese lacquer craftsmanship with a clean and timeless form.
