The Maruzen Nihombashi limited edition Platinum Izumo Panorama is an exceptionally rare release, limited to just 20 pieces.
Inspired by Nihombashi in Tokyo, the design presents a continuous panoramic view of the iconic bridge, extending from the cap across the large Izumo body to create a complete landscape.
The artwork is finished using a traditional Tame Sukashi urushi technique, with the scenery appearing beneath layers of translucent lacquer. As the urushi gradually changes with time and use, the hidden details become increasingly visible, allowing the appearance of the pen to evolve beautifully over the years.
Fitted with an 18K gold nib, Panorama combines the substantial form of the Platinum Izumo with traditional Japanese lacquer craftsmanship and the historic character of Nihombashi.
