Created as a special limited edition for Maruzen in Autumn 2026, Tsukihime draws inspiration from the famous Japanese tale The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter, bringing the story of Princess Kaguya to life through Eboya's distinctive ebonite craftsmanship. Only 20 pieces were produced.

According to the ancient tale, an old bamboo cutter discovered a mysterious stalk of bamboo glowing with golden light. Inside, he found a tiny and beautiful girl who would later become known as Princess Kaguya, a celestial maiden from the Moon.

Tsukihime is crafted from ebonite and shaped to resemble the natural joints of bamboo, directly referencing the moment Princess Kaguya was discovered. Delicate golden flecks appear throughout the dark ebonite, evoking the mysterious golden light shining from within the bamboo as well as moonlight scattered across the night sky.

The most surprising detail is hidden beneath the cap. Once opened, a colorful section is revealed against the subdued exterior. The dramatic contrast recalls the moment the bamboo was opened and Princess Kaguya appeared from within, surrounded by radiant light.

The pen is fitted with a 14K gold nib, complementing Eboya's warm ebonite body with a refined and comfortable writing experience.

From its quiet bamboo inspired exterior to the unexpected colors hidden within, Tsukihime transforms one of the most memorable scenes from The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter into a fountain pen. The bamboo form, golden light, and colorful section together tell the story of a mysterious princess who came from the Moon, spent a brief and beautiful time in the human world, and ultimately returned beneath the light of the full moon.
