Its complex layered construction allows for a wide range of line variation depending on the writing angle, from relatively fine strokes to very broad and expressive lines, while maintaining generous ink flow. Its writing characteristics are quite different from those of a standard fountain pen nib, making it especially suitable for users who are familiar with specialty nibs or enjoy expressive writing.

Please note that the Susutake bamboo body has cracks. These are part of the pen’s current condition, so please review the product photos carefully before purchasing. As Susutake is a natural and aged material, additional surface variation, color differences, and signs of age may also be present.

The combination of naturally aged Susutake bamboo and the sophisticated Cross Emperor nib gives this pen a unique balance of traditional material, technical complexity, and collectibility. Due to its age and condition, it is especially recommended for collectors or experienced users who are comfortable with vintage pens and naturally aged materials.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0609/2960/5761/files/F636C4CF-15BB-4489-998C-1C2AEB3E30D0.png?v=1792156049
